Age Rec: 4-7th Grades

Themes: Witness Protection Program, Hidden Identities, Family, Friendship, Being on the Run & Ethics Of Human Cloning

This book delves into numerous layers of concealed lives waiting to be unveiled. “Concealed” narrates the tale of a father known as “B,” a mother referred to as “L,” and a daughter who adopts a new name in each city.  She is currently known as Katrina. This family is in the witness protection program, or so we think.  They constantly relocate to new towns, assume new identities, and guard their past closely, never divulging enough to hint at who or what they might be fleeing from. Upon their arrival in a new RV community, the daughter befriends Parker, a peer living with a foster parent.

When Katrina discovers that her parents have been abducted, Parker stands steadfastly by her side. Leveraging his adept hacking skills, he becomes instrumental in unraveling Katrina's enigmatic past, including events preceding a life-altering accident three years prior that wiped her memories clean. Like many tales of heroism, their journey is fraught with unexpected twists, challenging scenarios that test their allegiances, and revelations that unearth the truth about Katrina's elusive past.
